Students will be guided step-by-step through the process of creating a simple crocheted animal using basic stitches and techniques. Participants will learn how to crochet in the round, shape their project, add stuffing, and finish with small details that bring their animal to life. Participants will be able to choose from several animal options, including an octopus, owl, jellyfish, turtle, or whale. Each student will receive all the materials needed to create one animal, including yarn, a crochet hook, and stuffing. This class is perfect for beginners or those who know a few basic crochet stitches and want to try making a small toy. By the end of the class, each participant will have their own handmade animal and the skills to continue creating more crocheted creatures at home

Step into the kitchen arena for a day of baking, creativity, and friendly competition! In Cupcake Wars: Youth Edition, participants will roll up their sleeves to bake their own cupcakes from scratch. While the cupcakes cool, everyone will enjoy a fun dinner break together. (Dinner provided by Ms. B) Then the real challenge begins—our Cupcake Decorating Wars! With a wide variety of edible decorations to choose from, youth will design, frost, and decorate their cupcakes in imaginative ways. From sprinkles and candies to colorful frosting and creative toppings, the possibilities are endless. Every child will be celebrated as a winner, with prizes awarded for creativity, effort, and flair. It’s a sweet blend of culinary arts, teamwork, and fun competition that ends with delicious results.

The Garden Club is designed to give youth experiences with planting, and caring for a garden. There will also be opportunities to learn about composting, homes for bees, nature-related arts and crafts.

We’ll start with simple designs and move on to more exciting patterns as you build confidence. All materials are provided! This class is perfect for beginners and anyone who loves crafting, color, and friendship.

In this course, students will learn about basic music theory and composition techniques, as well as learn about music technology. This will include sound production and live sound mixing. Students can expect to work with software that creates music. Students do not need a background in music to be successful in this course. They just need to be willing to learn and try new things. Everything related to music and the technology used to create music will be explored in this course. . Students will need a tablet or computer

Let’s head outside and explore! In this hands-on class, students will discover the wonders of nature through games, scavenger hunts, crafts, and outdoor exploration. We’ll learn about plants, insects, and have fun while building curiosity for the natural world.

Join us for a fun and relaxed Reading Club designed for students in grades 3–8 who love to read and enjoy discovering new books! During this session, students will hear several engaging book talks and receive recommendations for exciting titles they may want to read next. Whether they love adventure, mystery, humor, fantasy, or realistic stories, there will be plenty of great options to explore. Each participant will also choose a book to take home and keep, helping them build their own personal library and continue reading long after the class ends. We’ll also set aside time for students to enjoy quiet independent reading in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Snacks and beverages will be provided, making this a cozy and enjoyable time for students to relax, read, and connect with great books and fellow readers. 📚 Reading Club sessions will be offered twice a month in May after school and throughout the summer. Students may sign up for one session, several sessions, or all of them—whatever fits their schedule. The book talks and recommendations will be different each session, so there will always be new books to discover!

Celebrate Independence Day with a burst of creativity and sweetness! In Sparkle & Sprinkle: 4th of July Cakepops, youth will roll, dip, and decorate their very own cakepops in patriotic style. Using red, white, and blue shimmers, sprinkles, and edible glitter, each cakepop becomes a dazzling treat that’s as fun to make as it is to eat. Participants will learn simple cakepop techniques, experiment with colorful designs, and create festive treats perfect for the holiday. At the end of class, everyone will take home their decorated cakepops to share with family and friends—adding sparkle to any 4th of July celebration.

Any student with one year of experience playing their instrument is welcomed and encouraged to sign-up for lessons. These can either be group (like instrument & experience) or individual lessons. Each lesson will be an hour long and will cover a warm-up, skill building, sight-reading, and preparation of etudes. The purpose of summer lessons is to continue building upon the skills learned throughout the school year. All materials needed will be provided to the student by the instructor.
